Hi all!

Welcome, excited to start posting here, letting you guys know where I am on my journey!

I come from very humble beginnings and have used a few techniques to reach where I am today, a happy place where there is a lot of freedom in many ways and surrounded by great people, but I have many more things I wish to accomplish, from big to small things!

1 thing I did wrong last year was… Despite running a half-marathon and going on many attempts to exercise more and eat more healthy, I ended up yo-yo dieting and gained weight 😅 so I’ll be sharing my progress here - no better way to hold myself accountable

I also have a few business ideas in mind and will share here when I go for them and lessons learnt!

I changed the title of this to “my journey” and I will use this to document what I’ve been doing!

health: I’ve been exercising regularly to improve my fitness and get my muscles stronger. This has been running, weight lifting and swimming.

this morning I woke up thinking, I could do a 10k, have not done one in a while, did a 5k twice in the last 2-3 weeks. But rather than shoulda I will just do it!

so trying to get my body fitter and slowly cutting back on certain foods. Trying all at once would make it harder to stay with it, do my job and my side projects.

goals: I want to have some successful businesses. I have two ideas in mind. I will start one of them this week.

Often you see people tell you how to be rich or successful but they aren’t or some have been but their successful version tells you. So you hear things like “Jeff Bezos says sleep is very important/ Elon Musk started fasting/ Mark Zuckerberg makes sure he does this or that”. Well that’s their version at the final destination. Not during the mountain climbing

so you’ll get the mountain climbing side of things here 🙂

Mindset: just do it, can’t wait always to do things perfectly so have been just doing it.

alright, let me go and do my 10K. Will post here after how it was

Done it!! So I knew it would be long and I hadn’t eaten. So I had an Apple and banana and drank a lot of water. Then sat down to let it settle. But it’s winter, the heating was not on, so I sat down and bent my legs backwards under my office chair, so it wouldn’t touch the floor. After 20-30 minutes, I got up and my knee was painful. I was limping and thought, let me run another day

but instead I just stretched it, did some mini jobs inside the house - even spoke to my sister who is a doctor to ensure that was fine.

then I finally went, but just after the first kilometre my legs were feeling heavy and my calves sore 😭😭😭

I told myself if anything I’ll call my girlfriend to pick me up. Just had to keep going.

it’s been raining and it was super muddy, my usual route was flooded (picture below).

Had to stop many times because my legs were very sore so I would stretch and walk (basically limping).

But I was committed to finish because I knew next time would be easier!!

so my first 10k in 2024 done!

The run itself:

it was 1:18 minutes, I think Strava excludes the times where I stopped to stretch.

much longer than my Personal Best but we have to just do it and start somewhere
